Breedings are carefully planned to consider the temperament of the parents, their health and also their conformation to the breed standard. Both the sire and dam will have hips and Elbows OFA certified and eyes cleared by CERF.  The temperament of the puppies will be tested before their departure towards their new family. They will receive their 2 first vaccinations. They will be de-wormed and micro-chipped and they will receive the base of socialization with other dogs and humans.  Each Nordic Hope Puppy will also go to his new home with a puppy kit including health certificates, information, collar, leash, starter bag of puppy food, and one of our favourite toy picks!   (We’ve learned the hard way which ones are worth the money!)

As registered, responsible breeders we take the placement of our puppies very seriously.  We have seen so many wonderful dogs end up misunderstood or with families unable to care for this particular breed.  We will ask lots of questions.  Potential owners will be filtered through the puppy adoption questionnaire and asked to submit character references.   Our dogs come with our guarantee.  If for any reason you are unable to care for your puppy and meet the requirements to care for an Alaskan Malamute, we have a policy that we will take the animal back.  Each dog will be sold under a NON-BREEDING contract that requires you to spay/neuter your puppy when recommended by your vet.  Breeding contracts will only be considered from registered kennels with a similar breeding philosophy. If you are interested in conformation (dog showing) only, ask us about co-ownership options.

If you are interested in a puppy from a planned or future Nordic Hope litter and have read the information about the breed on our website, please CLICK HERE to complete the puppy application.

* Please consider also adopting a malamute from the Alaskan Malamute HELP league. Some of our malamute friends were not so lucky and are looking for good homes… Those can make extraordinary companions too!
